Couple with their Baby

What are your hours?

Our centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm.  We are closed on all statutory holidays, and Christmas break.

Where are you located?

We are located in the heart of the Riverside community in St. Albert, 1min from the Ray Gibbons. Click here to get directions.

What is naptime like?

We provide a clutter-free environment during nap time by turning down the lights, pulling down curtains, playing soothing music, and moving shelves aside to make room. We encourage children to bring their favorite stuffed toy or blanket for nap time to help them feel more secure and comfortable.

What amenities are at your centre?

As parents, we know how important physical activity is to the development of a child. Both indoors and outdoors, our daycare provides ample opportunities for children to engage in active play. Our play areas include sports, games, dancing, and yoga to promote physical coordination, as well as dedicated play areas for children. Our OSC program offers a range of activities that cater to children's interests, promote social interaction, and provide opportunities for physical activity and creative expression. We have designated spaces for homework completion, quiet reading, group games, and outdoor play.

What age range of children do you accept?

At Riverside Daycare & OSC, we accept children between the ages of 12 months - 12 years.

What programs do you follow?

In coincidence with the Alberta childcare curriculum, we take a holistic approach to childcare learning and implement the Reggio Emilia method.

What is the Holistic Approach?
The holistic approach focus' on various aspects of a child's development including emotional well-being, cognitive development, creative expression, social skills, and physical abilities.

The lunch Lady provides meals planned by an in-house nutrition manager and made by two Red Seal Chef's who's focus is to provide healthy and nutritious meals to promote your child's development.

Allergy concerns? Your child's safety is our top priority.  We will work with both you, and The Lunch Lady to ensure that your child's allergies are accommodated.

What is your illness policy?

We follow the guidelines set out by Alberta Health, and that a child is not to be in attendance if they have any illness or flu-like symptoms.  This is to ensure the safety of all children and staff.  These guidelines are outlined in the parents handbook provided upon enrolment.
